I think you are right. We are headed for more and more blood tests. I would not be surprised to see APD ask the city council for more funding for this trend.

I would like it a whole lot better if police could not turn the recorder off.they aren't t likely to need 2 or 3 Gigs of memory to make it through a shift.this phone I'm using has 32 Gogabytes...

its called the halo effect and was first shown empirically in the 1920 by thorndyke i think or something along those lines that attractive people do better in court and are more likely to get shorter sentences...so it really isnt anythign new and has been shown on many many occasions, i did a study and proved it to be a valid theory and have truth in its claims when i did it for course work at 17.

i totally disagree with mandatory blood draws. i HATE needles..i'm super afraid of them in fact. and if i was arrested, i could probably remain cool...until i saw a needle. i might panic and inadvertently escalate the situation.

also, what about safety/contamination? what will they do when someone gets hepatitis or worse as the result of a blood test?

do the cops take the blood or are there medics? i dont trust most nurses to hit a vein, much less roscoe p. coltrane!

Appreciate the comments all, I have since heard that some larger cities mount the cameras behind the intersection so the cameras can get your plates with the red light in it. I also noticed the comment re: the philosophy page. I have decided that rather than try to post a concise paragraph of our philosophy of criminal law, it would serve better to use multiple blog entries to paint a picture of who we are. In effect, I don't want to "tell" you who we are, as much as I would prefer you get a feel for us yourself. Dig around the site, read reviews. And feel free to comment when it needs to be done.
